Have them open their textbooks to page 217. Go over directions with students and reinforce that they will write each vocabulary word one time in English and two times in Spanish. Have students open to page 198 in their textbooks. o Instruct them that they will be working in their assigned partners. Tell students to read along and pay attention to pronunciation. o Play the audio for each of the 7 sections one at a time, beginning with Hola! and ending with Section F. After listening to each section, have students read the section to their partners and concentrate on pronunciation. o Ask the Comprehension Questions on page 199.

After they have listened and followed along, assign roles and have students role play as they read the dialogue. o Ask the Comprehension Questions on page 201. o Have students complete Actividades 1-4 on pages 202-203. Using the projector, show students how to navigate to MindMeister and set up a free account. Explain to students that they will be creating a word map that categorizes all their vocabulary words. They may choose their own categories and subcategories. Show them the model and briefly explain it. o Allow students to choose their own groups of 2-3 for this activity. o Remind students how to take a screen shot using both a computer and an iPad. Have students submit their completed word maps via SchoolLoop. Da 3 Divide the class into two teams. Explain the rules of Pictionary. Remind students that they should only guess when it is their teams turn. Invite one student from Team 1 up and secretly provide him/her with a vocabulary word to draw on the board. Give the student 30 seconds to complete the task. If his/her team does not guess in the allotted time, give Team 2 a chance to steal the point. Repeat with Team 2. Continue this pattern until allow vocabulary words have been used. Award the members of the winning team restroom/extra credit passes. Da 4 Allow students 10 minutes to prepare for quiz.
