ObjectiveTo conduct a detailed study on role of Industrial Training Institutes in providing vocational education and the relevance of the

training they provide.

Tasks1. Understand the purpose behind setting up of ITIs and their administrative structure. 2. Visit the nearby ITIs and meet their principals and understand their vision and problems faced by them. 3. Study the actual fund received and resources possessed by the ITIs 4. Take feedback from nearby industries about their relationship with the ITIs and their opinion on employability of ITI pass outs. 5. Understand what are the problems faced by the faculty as well as the students; what actually they think about their prospects, probable solutions and deficiency in the system. 6. Form your own suggestions regarding the changes required. 7. Analyze the quality of educational input received by the students. 8. Study the setups of ITI type institutions and their teaching methodology in foreign countries where they have been successful. 9. Suggest how more and more matriculated students can be associated with ITIs. 10. Analyze the curriculum and suggest changes required to keep it updated with the modern world. 11. Support your findings with statistical data and pictorial representations. Prepare a short movie to support your research.

Project descriptionIndias booming economy has resulted in heavy growth in all industries. This has in turn led to increased demand for skilled labor. The government has setup ITIs to meet these demands. But their output has disappointed the human resource departments of various industries who feel that the quality of graduates leave a lot to be desired. Proper functioning of ITIs is integral to the nations economic development. This project aims at studying various ITIs and analyzing the reasons for their apparent failure.
