Michigan C

Description of Workshop: Feeling frustrated and like no one understands you? Do you wish your voice had more

power? Well then, this workshop was tailored just for you. Communication is the key to success in life. Whether in the classroom or the boardroom, even in the hospital and in the courtroom; communication is quintessential. Being able to effectively communicate your desires, needs, expectations, strengths and weaknesses will open doors for assistance, opportunities and growth. Although communication is fundamental it can be difficult, especially when power dynamics are unequal (like in teacher-to-student, doctor- to-patient, employer-to-employee relationships and etc). This workshop will discuss techniques to having purposely powerful conversations that effectively achieve your goals, and thus position you for success. NOTE: Evaluations need to be completed at end of the workshop and turned into the workshop facilitator. Closing Remarks Departure/Pick Up Snacks 3:00-3:15 PM 3:15 PM Kiva Lobby
