Designed for the advanced sprinter# this workshop will focus on the technical model of the %&&'(&&m sprinting event# with both coaches providing technical drills and analysis to athletes and coaches that will help to build understanding in the sprinting events. +t the end of the session a discussion will include the planning for the sprint season and some time for open discussion related to the sprinting events. (MIKE BAWOL will also be demonstrating the use of speed gates and video analysis in this wor shop!

+ seminar style discussion around building a successful high school track and field program. Dean )cDow is the head coach of the /arkview /anthers track and field program# his teams have won multiple :SS+* provincial titles over the past %; years. Selena Davidson'4no is the head coach of Bayview )iddle School# where she started with a brand new school and in the past five years has made an incredible program in track and field# producing /rovincial champion athletes with a multi event approach. Selena is also a /rovincial 0un# .ump# Throw facilitator# and has led many workshops in this event group. .oin Dean and Selena as they share programming ideas# and lead an open discussion with coaches on how schools can build successful track and field programs.

*ear of failure or competition an"iety is a commonly observed mental process that can stand in the way of athletes fulfilling their potential. This workshop will help understand factors contributing to the fear of failure in their athletes and consider practical tips to help athletes overcome this on route to competition. Two groups will be led# one for endurance athlete and one for speed'power athletes.
