Cyber Bullying Fake It Til You Make It? Animoto ActivInspire Email Ettiquette Alternatives to PowerPoint Calendar
Cyber Bullying
What is cyber bullying? It is just as it sounds. It is bullying via the internet. Websites such as chat rooms, social media cites, and emails are different ways that cyber bullying can occur. Cyber bullying is similar to face-to-face bullying. It is a way to make someone else feel inferior. To make them feel down about themselves or to hurt them. The only real differences is that the abuse is not physical and cyber bullying can happen 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Although cyber bullying is not physically abusive it is emotional and psychologically abusive. While some may use the expression sticks n stones, we all know that words can sometimes cut deeper than punches. While online people can access the internet, post mean or absurd comments, and those same comments, in less that 30 minutes, could spread through an entire school. Unlike physical bullying, that may leave bruises, once a comment or a picture is posted on the internet it is there forever. Even if you go back and try to delete it, it will still be there for someone or everyone to see. When children are being bullied at school, they go home and the bullying stops. With cyber bullying, when at school the bullying is going on then when you go home, it continues. The internet never shuts down. The internet NEVER closes. As parents and teachers, it is our duty to protect our children from cyber bullying. We have to let our children know that it is not ok and normal to be cyber bullied or even to cyber bully someone else. References: Hardcastle, M. (n.d.). About:
This Newsletter is about some things that I have learned while in Instructional Design.
Motion Sickness?
Animito. Animoto is cool new alternative to using a PowerPoint. It creates a fun new way to present any project for any subject of any kind. Unlike the PowerPoint Animoto moves. What do I mean by moves, you ask? It grabs the viewers attention and takes them on a journey.
ActivInspire
With activinspire teachers can turn a regular classroom into a interactive playground.it allows the kids to be able to participate by coming up to the board and salve the problems themselves. They feel important being able to use the same thing a teacher is using. Oh and the absolutely love getting a question right in front of the whole classroom.

You discuss with parents at the beginning of the year your email policy. That way the parents will know the dos and donts.
EMAIL BATTLES
Be calm when sending emails. Dont send off emails that are impulsive. Wait until the situation has died down.
