Michael Moores Sicko aims to make the people realize the current state of the medical health care in the United States. According to the film, there are a lot of problems present in the medical system. One of which is the inability of insurance companies to actually provide their customers with proper health care. The film also showed the differences between the health care systems of different societies. In Canada, the citizens are lucky enough to be able to acquire free health care service even for the simplest injury. In London, the whole country is benefited with free health care anywhere they go. In France, the government does not only provide free health care but also other social services such as public education and vacations. The documentary also showed myths that are portrays the American Society. It was pointed out that an increase in free health care would cause lost freedom and socialism. This was proven otherwise for countries like Canada and United Kingdom whose citizens could actually live a carefree and happy life. Another myth is that the prisoners in Guantanamo Bay receive a lower quality of healthcare compared to US citizens, which is actually the opposite for the prisoners can access top notch healthcare services. In the Philippines, it is not only evident that almost no one can get access to free health services but also that there is a scarcity in the number of clinics and hospitals across the country. In line with this, we can learn from the documentary that there are many points of improvement. One of which is standardizing health care across the region and pushing for free medication. We may not be ready for it now but I surely hope that we will be in the future

Another myth being that prisoners in Guantanamo Bay, an infamous prison in the US that houses terrorists, do not receive the level same of health care as US citizens.

and how government chooses to care less about the health of their citizens in order to gain more profit.
