Leading Edge Academy Pillars are: Building Partnerships/Shared Leadership, Using Critical Thinking/Innovative Problem Solving, Demonstrating Technological Savvy, Appreciating Cultural Diversity, and Thinking Globally . Please write below how you think your work connected to some or all of these this trimester? Trimester 2s projects had many projects that were difficult, but gave me skills and experiences that were key to learn. With Critical Thinking, the math test and language arts Everest survival essay fit in. I knew that math test was going to be difficult I had to study to the best of my ability to try to get an A on that test. The average score for that test was in the 70%s so to get a 95 made me proud of myself. Writing is not my favorite thing to do so create a descriptive essay on Mt. Everest was difficult. I used all my creative abilities and got a 100%. Also Science Notebook study notes had me thinking critically because I had to focus and write quickly so that I could get all the information to use for a test/quiz. Now on to Building Partnerships/Shared Leadership. The Grease performance and History Day project both fell under this pillar greatly. With the Grease rehearsals we had to learn songs and dances, so we asked each other any things we forgot. For the History Day project I was in a group with Andrew and Brandon La. We planned immediately for the project and

separated the work evenly to create a high quality tri-fold display about the Holocaust. With Cultural Diversity, the history day project fits under it too. I learned a lot about the Jewish people that were held in the Holocaust. Also the Philanthropist project made me learn that all kinds of people can be homeless and all of them have feelings. In P.E we did a basketball study guide. this went under Tech Savvy because we had to look up basketball tutorials so that we could type what we learned on a study guide. We also had to cite our sources, which is always important. We then put a bullet list on a doc and then shared it with Mr.Shane. I never expected to have a P.E assignment go under tech savvy. lastly there is Global Thinking. The philanthropist project was a global thinking assignment so of course it goes under this pillar. Our group went to feed learned that homeless people are people; humans with feelings and spirit. we learned that homelessness is all over the world and its unfortunate that all ages can be homeless. It's wonderful that there are organizations out there dedicated to helping people without homes because they really are kind and good spirited.

GOALS: After looking over your information above, please set two goals for yourself. One must be academic and one should be based on the pillars. Explain how you will try to reach these goals. Get a 100% in at least one class. Study and focus to learn and remember information better. Demonstrate Shared Leadership more by leading a group to finish tasks.
