Mosquito forceps or mosquito clamp a small, straight or curved hemostatic forceps used to hold delicate tissue or compress a bleeding vessel. Kelly forceps is used to clamp larger vessels and tissue. Available in short and long sizes. Other names: Rochester Pean. Babcock forceps forceps with loop blades which are also semicircular in sagittal crosssection. Designed to hold a short length of intestine without compressing it. Allis forceps a curved forceps with serrated edges, used for grasping tissues. Also called Allis clamp.
