Observations/Thoughts Just woke up several minutes ago; my flight to California leaves in a few hours. I have considered interview question candidates; Mr. Halop will definitely be one, but I have to think about whose opinions would best represent the student body of Chamber. I cant do much until I get to California, so Ill end my first entry here. Ill keep thinking about interview candidates during the flight. Arrived at my home in California. It feels good to be back. Considered interview candidates during my flight, have decided on Mr. Halop and Dalton Tran, the current tenor section leader of Northwood (my successor, and my good friend). His opinions are usually candid and thoughtful, so it should prove useful. Compiled interview questions for Halop and Dalton; they will uploaded as entries in a separate tab under the Ethnography section of the digital portfolio. Ill be visiting Chamber tomorrow. Currently in Chamber; got a very warm welcome. Warmed up with the group, just like old times. (This would satisfy Swales fourth criteria). Observations: Dalton and I discuss whats been happening in the past few months; Chambers won several more accolades than the last time I saw them. Halop opens a discussion on era-specific qualities of certain pieces Chamber has been working on, introduces some new terminology; this is in order to expand our own vocabulary. Useful when we want to describe or otherwise talk about music within ourselves or with peers from other communities. Jargon, Lexis. I visit Chamber, stay for class, interview Halop and Dalton. Got some useful material,
