ENACTUS LETS CAN HUNGER CHALLENGE: PROJECT PROPOSAL BACKGROUND, PROBLEM, PURPOSE *Provide necessary background.

What is Enactus and what is the Lets Can Hunger Challenge? -Enactus is an international non-profit organization that brings together students, academic advisors, and professional leaders to improve the quality of lives for those in need. Through the Lets Can Hunger challenge, students are able to apply business concepts to develop community projects that help achieve results for a cause that matters. With the feedback and expertise of business leaders who evaluate, critique, and rank the successes of the entrepreneurial skills of each student/group, students strive to be the best at making lives better. *Introduce the problem. Show that you fully understand the requirements of this project and what you are being asked to do for this challenge. -The problem is there is not sufficient land to grow or income to purchase enough food. Millions of people all over world are either going hungry or dying from malnutrition. Our goal is to bring in as much resources as possible by either collecting non-perishable foods or monetary donations to help those in need. PROPOSAL, PLAN, SCHEDULE *Explain the proposal. Present your plan for meeting this challenge. -Our goal is to target a University Department as well as our local communities in a used book donation. Through these donations, we intend to resell these used books to local bookstores in an attempt to receive as much monetary funding as possible to contribute our portion to the Lets Can Hunger challenge. *Discuss plan management and implementation. Thoroughly discuss how you will go about executing this project in a PROFESSIONAL manner. -To implement our goal, we intend to conduct ourselves in a professional manner by speaking clearly, respectfully, and positively in a welcoming, pleasant, and approachable manner with our local communities and school staff to engage them in allowing us to set up and market donation boxes for used books in their areas. Through the use of poster boards and/or flyers, and through word of mouth, we plan to encourage everyone to get involved and contribute by bringing their old used books for donation and joining in the fight to stop hunger. After an allotted amount of time, we intend to resell the books to local and offsite campus bookstores for funding that will allow us to donate in the help to fight hunger and improve the quality of lives for those in need.
