Name: No. 1: Diagram 11.1 and Diagram 11.

.2 show the apparatus set-up for a Young's double-slit experiment, to determine the wavelength of a monochromatic light. Diagram 11.3 and Diagram 11.4 show the fringes formed on the screen for each situation.

Class: .

No. 2: A student used a slide projector to view the image from the slide. When the slide is place nearer to the lens the sharp image form on the screen as shown in Diagram 1.1. When the slide is place further from the lens the sharp image form on the screen as shown in Diagram 1.2.

Using the diagrams given, compare the distance between the double-slit and the screen, the distance between two successive bright fringes, the number of fringes and the width of fringes. Deduce the relationship between the distance of the double-slit and the screen and the distance between two successive bright fringes.

Based on Diagram 1.1 and Diagram 1.2 compare the object distance, the image distance and size of image that formed on the screen. Relate the object distance to the image distance and the object distance to the size of image that formed on the screen. [5 marks]

No. 3: Diagram 6.1 and Diagram 6.2 show vibration of different thickness of guitar string.

No. 4: Diagram 9.1 and Diagram 9.2 show the bulbs connection at the fruit stores. The bulbs and the battery in both the store are identical.

When microphone is used to detect the sound waves of each guitar string, the traces displayed on the oscilloscopes as shown in the diagrams. (i) Using Diagram 10.1 and 10.2, compare the number of oscillations, amplitude of wave and diameter of guitar string. (ii) State the relationship between frequency of sound wave and - Diameter of the string - Pitch of the sound [5 marks]

Using Diagram 9.1 and Diagram 9.2, compare the brightness of the bulbs. Relate the brightness of the bulb, the potential different and the current flow for the bulbs to deduce a relevant physics concept. [5 marks]
