An Example of Analyzing Multiple Perspectives

Listen as I read the text below. Think about the childs point of view and the possible viewpoint of Mom. ! We will reason through this situation using a Multiple Perspectives Graphic Organizer.! Mom, I want a new bike.! Look, Mom, I think its time that I get a new ten-speed bicycle. First of all, my old one is too small for me. I keep bumping my knees on the handlebars! Another reason is that a ten speed is much faster, and I could ride farther. In that case, you would not have to drive me to my friends houses or to soccer practice. Finally, I think I deserve a new bike. I have good grades, and I always help with chores around the house. As you can see, it would be helpful to both us for me to have a new bike. !

tigers? Again, use the text to support your thinking.!
