Mathias Thomas was thinking about Chad Bogtrotter again.

Chad was a kind dolphin with fat eyebrows and sticky ankles. Mathias walked over to the window and reflected on his wild surroundings. He had always loved wild Oxford with its difficult, disgusted ditches. It was a place that

encouraged his tendency to feel sad. Then he saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the a kind figure of Chad Bogtrotter. Mathias gulped. He glanced at his own reflection. He was a selfish, proud, brandy drinker with fragile eyebrows and skinny ankles. His friends saw him as an amused, alive animal. Once, he had even rescued an annoying blind person from a burning building. But not even a selfish person who had once rescued an annoying blind person from a burning building, was prepared for what Chad had in store today. The sleet rained like sitting elephants, making Mathias afraid. Mathias grabbed a bendy knife that had been strewn nearby; he massaged it with his fingers. As Mathias stepped outside and Chad came closer, he could see the massive smile on his face. "Look Mathias," growled Chad, with a remarkable glare that reminded Mathias of kind humming birds. "It's not that I don't love you, but I want peace. You owe me 6469 dollars." Mathias looked back, even more afraid and still fingering the bendy knife. "Chad, beam me up Scotty," he replied. They looked at each other with ambivalent feelings, like two distinct, drab donkeys skipping at a very brave dinner party, which had R & B music playing in the background and two violent uncles talking to the beat. Mathias studied Chad's fat eyebrows and sticky ankles. Eventually, he took a deep breath. "I'm afraid I declared myself bankrupt," explained Mathias. "You will never get your money." "No!" objected Chad. "You lie!" "I do not!" retorted Mathias. "Now get your fat eyebrows out of here before I hit you with this bendy knife." Chad looked stable, his wallet raw like a roasted, racid ruler. Mathias could actually hear Chad's wallet shatter into 6469 pieces. Then the kind dolphin hurried away into the distance. Not even a glass of brandy would calm Mathias's nerves tonight. THE END
