Who would be the target audience for your media product?

The target audience for my magazine EDGE are 16-30 year olds. This is the target audience as a lot of other magazines such as N E and !"#$%. & realise that this is a fairly small age grou' and therefore a small target audience ho(e)er & aim to accommodate the ga' that is already there in the mar*et (ith my magazine. The (ay & ha)e styled the models and the articles (hich are in the magazines are (ays that & ha)e done this+ & ha)e also done this to dra( my target audience in. & ha)e used other magazines such as the ones & ha)e mentioned 're)iously as my style icons. ,or e-am'le+ on my front co)er the masthead is in the to' left hand corner such as on N E and .. his is /ecause if it (or*s for them then it should in theory (or* for me. & also feel that it loo*s good and for the magazine to sell+ it has to 0 or consum'tion+ from my target audience+ (ill /e reduced. & decided to 'rice my magazine at 13.22+ this may seem fairly high com'ared to some magazines ho(e)er & feel that it is fine. This is /ecause my magazine 'ossesses a lot of content 0 & thin* that the 'rice 'erfectly reflects the amount of content the consumer recei)es. &t is also afforda/le for my target audience. # lot of the 'eo'le in the age range & am aiming for (ill ha)e a 3o/ leading to fairly high le)els of dis'osa/le income meaning that they (ill /e a/le to easily afford my magazine 0 and as the magazine re'resents them (ell 0 it is something (hich they (ould ho'efully (ant to /uy. #lthough my target audience is 16-30 year olds & ha)e added in articles (hich (ill attract other audiences so & am not e-cluding anyone leading to less re)enue. & also thin* this 'articular issue of the magazine (ill attract some 40-50 year olds (ho e-'erience the adchester /uzz and (ant to reminisce.
