Whereas: The purpose of the MarquetteCASH program is to provide a convenient method of

payment for purchases at participating Milwaukee area vendors; and,

Whereas: Marquette University benefits from the MarquetteCASH program by earning a

transaction fee for every purchase 1; and,

Whereas: Many students make purchases from Pizza Shuttle utilize MarquetteCASH for
delivery orders; and,

Whereas: Pizza Shuttle was removed from the MarquetteCASH program earlier this year
for “agreement violations”; and,

Whereas: Pizza Shuttle has taken responsibility and apologized for its agreement violations
with MarquetteCASH; and,

Whereas: In an interview with Mark Gold, owner of Pizza Shuttle, Mr. Gold acknowledged
the mistakes made and has offered to train employees better and have employees
sign contracts about procedures2; and,

Whereas: The Marquette community has benefited by Pizza Shuttle donating to several
Marquette related programs and organizations such as Concert For Life, Sigma
Chi fraternity, and the Annual Midnight Run 5K3; and,

Whereas: Pizza Shuttle is one of the most popular vendors for Marquette students; and,

Whereas: In a recent unofficial poll conducted by the Marquette Tribune, 89% of the
students wanted Pizza Shuttle reinstated on the MarquetteCASH program4.

Therefore: Let it be recommended that Marquette University reinstate Pizza Shuttle into
the MarquetteCASH program for delivery purchases only.
