SUMMARY SARITA HANDA is a home furnishing company.

The major products are Dec, Placements, Euro, STD Shams, Quilts, Duvet Cover, Lumber, Comforter, Runners, King Shams, Table Cover, Cushion Covers. We started observing the ERP System of Company. In first two weeks, we select the project startup loss. We observed the production floor and stitching line. There is no assembly line system, one operator stitch one piece. And some process are out sourced (embroidery, quilting), so start up loss is not possible and we go through the finishing and quality dept., we analyze there is no record of rework and rejection department wise. We proposed to calculate / highlight the wastage in terms of Time & Value. Rework always cost to company. We are identifying all related reasons for alterations being done at various operations stages in terms of MINS and Adding / Highlighting this wastage into the ERP System with the help of TQM Dept and IE dept. of SARITA HANDA. We also proposed reports for WIP / lead time to connect it to the ER P system. Thanks and Regards Kush / Suchi
