Copy and write words in neat and legible. Cross-curricular elements: Kinesthetic. Teaching aids : pictures cards, letter cards, word cards, a sack, modeling clay and activity books.
Steps: Set Induction 1. Pupils make alphabets c, k and ck using modeling clay. Activities 1. In We Sound the Same game, a pupil picks a sound card from a sack and other pupils take turn to say the phonemes and match the sound card to the correct picture card. 2. Pupils trace and say the sounds /c/, /k/, /ck/. 3. Pupils choose the numbers and objects and write accordingly. 4. Pupils do writing exercise with teachers guidance in the activity books. ( page 47,48,49 and 50 )
