This I believe, Freedom of speech.

To begin with, this essay is written by Nora Lupi and she has a very strong belief in freedom of speech and speaking up which most probably inspired every reader, me included. Freedom of speech is the right given to people to speak up their opinion in political or social matters regardless of their ethnicity, religion or age. Nowadays, the society became more modernized and in most countries democracy has spread more maybe up to a certain extent but to where those countries stand now I believe is fairly good. Also as long as people vote for who they want and the process of elections is becoming more accurate and very reliable for citizens. Lupi is fighting for freedom of speech and for the fact that every citizen has the right to speak up which is exactly what is needed in every society. Why keep your opinion to yourself where one day this opinion can actually run for a good benefit. In addition, when everyone starts to speak up and state their opinion this would create a chance for variations and more plans can arise whether it is future plans for politics strategies or business investments or even president elections. By having different opinions this will broaden everyones mind allowing them to accept new things and think out of the box.

Moreover, Lupi indicated: I know that if I dont speak my mind, I will not be true to my nature. Clearly; Lupi adds a relationship between one speaking up their m ind as being loyal and honest. This line strongly inspired me as a reader; Because It shows how much an opinion is owed to people and the difference it would make if one kept the opinion to himself. Also Lupi relates the word Nature in a way that everyone is born to speak up and if not this would proof that one would not be following what one is born to do; in other words; By not speaking is not normal. In addition; I specifically chose this essay because I am one of the believers in freedom of speech and in stating opinions regardless of the age or diverse. Everyone has the right to speak up and all humans are blessed with minds to think and words to express so why keep not make use of it. Also everyone has the right to choose who to run their country or argue about the laws that may not be fair to them. Regarding teenagers or underage children, I believe that if they have an opinions, the elders role is to encourage them to speak up and this will help those teenagers to build a strong character, believe in themselves and strike them up to become an active citizen in their community.
