5. After I ha#e shown m% e'amples& I will gi#e the students two to tr% on their own. After the% ha#e completed this e'ample& I will call on one student to share his/her answer with the class and ask how he/she got to that answer. 1. After confirmation that the answer to the e'ample is correct& I will show the students a #ideo on perimeter. 2. After watching the #ideo& we will complete the 6ui7 on )rain,-,. 8. When the 6ui7 is complete& I will pair the students with a partner and gi#e each set two worksheets. These are to $e completed in 3* minutes. ". After the worksheets are completed& we will go o#er the answers on the Smart)oard. I will call on #olunteers to gi#e the answers using sticks with their num$ers on them. 9. To finish the lesson& we will summari7e. I will ask the students what perimeter is and I will ha#e them answer as a whole group. ctivit, nal, sis: )efore the lesson& I will ask the students if an% of them know how to find the perimeter of a figure or o$:ect. No technolog% will $e used for this so that I can get an understanding of the students; prior knowledge. After the lesson& I will gi#e the students two worksheets to complete. These worksheets will allow the students to practice the new concept& with super#ision and support if there are 6uestions.
