Overall IES straegy for technical and GS protion first of all focus all the GATE subjects which covers your 8 subjects . for these 8 subjects do IES 10 previous year ECE Q., IES 10 previous year EE Q., GATE 10 previous year ECE Q., GATE 10 year EE Q how to study i already told you many times . if u r starting with the network theory .. den 1st do its theory den do its questions (as i told u above) .and tick the questions in which u r getting difficulty in solving .. and after this when u start new subjects .. den again 1st cover the theory of network and den start the new subject theory . do dis process repetitively by which ur subject theory will become very strong . and after gate do other 4 subjects and their quest . kindly give full attention to the IES 10 previous year ECE Q., IES 10 previous year EE Q. solve these questions at least 10 times and after dat for Conventionals do IES 10 previous year ECE Q., IES 10 previous year EE Q and focus only 8 subjects for conventionals and after doing dese 8 subjects previous year papers .do back questions of standard books dat i will tell you later . just try to follow my way of study do again and again the theory of each subjects so dat your revision time of theory should be minimized . after following dis strategy u will easily get under 10 rank . but it is very difficult to follow .. so try hard to follow dis

For GS: Arihant Manohar pandey GK or Made easy GK booklets se theory padh kar .last 10 year Civil services Prelims,IES,CDS ke questions solve kar lo tareeke se and more focus sholud be on Geog and life Sci. moderate on polity and very less on History questions. (prefer new vishals publication for IAS nd CDS).do not read any current affairs magzines as it you have seen it is not worth for IES exam. Papers dhang se kar lena 5-6 bar sab inhi se ata h ghum phir kar How To prepare for English: English: For English you need to improve your vocabulary and grammar for any competitive exam. It will take time to learn the vocabulary but it will help you in around 20 direct questions of Synonyms/Antonyms and instead of that it will help you in understanding the passages ,PQRS type questions and in Vocabulary based fill in the blanks. Almost it covers all the topics other than grammar based questions. For Vocabulary first start with news paper ,Read it and note the meaning you do not know, when there is collection of above 500 good meanings (learn on the daily basis) then after that you will start learning directly with any good vocabulary book like I found PT educations (VA Atlas) book good for this purpose. For Grammar you need to first read the rules(not try to learn them, Read them 8-10 times on regular basis) from any good book and start solving the error related problems as much as you can by maintaining the balance with other parts of course. Book lists for English: Vocabulary: 1.PT educations (VA Atlas)-Along with meaning of that word this book also contains all possible synonym ,antonym ,word usage in sentence at same place. 2.The best way to learn the meaning by some key word or by the help of some images.
