1st Shot: Driver


The use of a driving club while teeing off is to get not only the distance, but to set up your next shot. Self Leadership Outcome # 11:
Student will describe goals and objective statements regarding personal issues, career issues, and community issues.

2nd Shot: Wood/Hybrid


The second shot is the most difficult and the using a Wood or Hybrid club can be challenging. Inclusive Leadership/Diversity Outcome #61:
Students will demonstrate knowledge of McIntoshs theory of privilege and its relationship to leadership.

Peggy McIntosh: White Privilege


#5: I can go shopping alone most of the time, pretty well assured that I will not be followed or harassed. #21: I am never asked to speak for all the people of my racial group.

#39: I can be late to a meeting without having the lateness reflect on my race.
#46: I can choose blemish cover or bandaged in flesh color and have them more or less match my skin. #48: I have no difficulty finding neighborhoods

3rd Shot: Iron


There are so many club options at this point, just like the many different leadership theories. Leadership Theories Outcome #38:
Student will show knowledge of the Relational Leadership model by Komives, McMahon, & Lucas.

4th Shot: Pitching Wedge


This club is very versatile and can be used to get the ball to the green, when the ball is in a sand trap, or to get over a tree. Critical Thinking Outcome #69:
Student will show knowledge of principles of critical thinking.

Defined as intelligent reasoning with supporting evidence to help make wise decisions

Finding fallacies will watching the movie 12 Angry Men

5th Shot: Putter


Putting takes a lot of patience and practice, but also signifies the end of the hole which then leads to a new beginning. Interpersonal and Organizational Concepts & Skills Outcome #103:
Student will describe personal examples of preparing for and being interviewed.

During HDF 290, I learned about different styles of leading and how to improve my skills Junior and Senior years, I took that knowledge and starting taking leadership roles

Leaving college, I know that Leadership one of my strengths and I feel comfortable taking on roles as a leader.
