Competency 001
Our principal invited Larry Bell to our campus to show and provide us with insight on how to teach to student in a low socioeconomic environment. He provided us with tools to use to relate to our students and strengthen the relationship between home and school through the schools vision.

Competency 002
During the Monday before STAAR the teachers of fourth grade and leadership team collaborated and had a pep rally for the third and fourth graders to pump them up for the STAAR. Students from first and second grade contributed in ensuring the students were ready for the STAAR with lots of school spirit.

Competency 003
While administrating the survey for my research, I chose a design that would keep all information confidential. I also chose a program that would keep me as the researcher from knowing the results of the participants and their responses to the questions given. I did this to keep my opinion out of the data and view of the participants from changing.

Competency 004
As the students on the campus completed campus midpoints, the teachers analyzed the data and focused in on the deficits of the students and relationships among class with the deficits. The principal enlisted me to facilitate those meetings and take notes of the plans to close the gaps.

Competency 005
Our campus held Saturday School for our on the bubble students for the Writing STAAR. I facilitated the session along with three other teachers for several Saturdays before the test was held. We were responsible for aligning our lessons to the curriculum and expectation of the Writing STAAR. We also focused on the students deficits.

Competency 006
As the principal requested certain teachers and all teachers to attend specific PD session, I was asked to ensure teachers filled out the surveys that followed in regards to how the session helped them as a teacher. Each teacher was to respond to the survey within three days.

Competency 007
The building principal asked me to decide how to split some fourth grade classrooms up for the best testing environment for STAAR administration. I devised a detailed plan that would suit all parties involved. After reviewing my split list, the principal approved the list and utilized it during our STAAR administration.

Competency 008
I collaborated with the building principal in setting up a professional development geared toward successful writing strategies to teach students for the fourth grade teachers. The speaker came and showed the teachers what new strategies they could use to help the fourth graders improve their writing for a higher success rate on STAAR.

Competency 009
To ensure our campus remained safe I stayed after my car rider duty and made sure parents signed out their children following district policy. I learned from the counselor how to do this process and he then passed the responsibility over to me. I also learned from our campus front desk personal how to check in a parent coming to the campus following district policy. The front desk personal allowed me to practice this numerous times after observing them.
