How do I think children learn? Children are sensitive humans; they require lots of support and play. In my opinion, children learn through play, it helps them advance in activities and learn new things. By them learning through play it helps the children become social, and advance their gross motor, fine motor and creativity. Some children learn differently than others but being social helps children learn through other children. Having play in a childs learning experience helps children develop cognitively, they gain a sense of understanding about how things work in the real world. Children want to feel safe and secure, we show these ways through play. They should be shown whats appropriate and whats inappropriate, we also teach these lessons through play. When we as teachers and parents include meaningful lessons in a childs daily play experience we teach them life, development and fun. Children should be taught how to manage life on a daily basis, such as how to brush their teeth or saying no to strangers. Every experience you teach to a child can be done in so many creative and fun ways.
