I only remember seeing GOs in high school but I could see the benefit of using them in elementary. Every teacher has their own way of teaching. Although GOs are useful, they are not the only way to successfully teach material. I could see how GOs could be useful for ELL students. GOs are great when used as a tool but students get discouraged when they know it is the end product. There are many types of graphic organizers which makes using one easier because there is a different one for all subjects.

I remember using this graphic organizer in K12 I think matrixes are confusing Word sorts are useable in many classes.
