My College Recommendation essay I am active in many club and organizations in my high school.

I was involved in the robotics club for 4 years where I was president, the interact club for 4 years where I was a member, and the F !" Club for # year where I was vice president. I gotten medals for perfect attendance, $nglish, and a citizenship award. I%ve participated in multiple community service opportunities li&e wor&ing in my schools gift shop, wor&ing with animals at !"'(C", feeding the hungry, wor&ing with younger children in science buddies, wor&ing with the elderly at 't Margarets, ma&ing art to go in the )gden Museum, and building and refurbishing houses in *outh Rebuild +ew )rleans ,*R+)-. .he year /atrina hit was the hardest year of my childhood. I learned that everything happens for a reason but I couldn%t understand what reason it was for this to happen. I moved away from home and had to leave my parents behind. .hey were police officers and they had to stay to serve and protect +ew )rleans as they had so solemnly sworn when they 0oined the force. I was forced to grow up and help ta&e care of my sister at a young age which helped me become more mature and responsible. eing stronger as a person also helped me stay out of trouble and respect others that had it worse than I did. I also learned better and chose to become an artist in poetry to e1press all my hardships. I &ept it together and focused on my art and schoolwor& to become something my parents would be proud of. I want to go to college because I would li&e to be a nursing and deal with babies.
