Due: Friday May 2nd A Grading Rubric is forthcoming.

Directions: Your goal is to create a song, poem, letter, speech, short movie, poster, fake newspaper article, news report set in the time period, etc. which demonstrates the key themes of the Civil Rights Movement and shows your understanding of the key people, places, and events of the movement. The most important aspect of this project is that you have the freedom to use a method of your choosing to show me what you have learned about the Civil Rights Movement and how well you understand the material. Guidelines: Your project must demonstrate understanding of at least 2 people, places, or things from each of the categories below. Feel free to include more than just 2 from each category, but 2 is the minimum. You must demonstrate the impact of each person, place, event, or group on the movement as a whole. You may work alone or in a group of up to 4 people. Your project should show the connections between the themes and events instead of simply listing them and providing definitions.
