Increase in surveillance budget and shock collars for slaves

Last week on the date of December 17, 2120 the JOMER initiative (the joint nations of U.S, China, Russia, and Great Britain) successfully passed laws allowing for the distribution of shock collars to be put on slaves. This is a new addition to slavery which was legalized back in the year 2114. For the JOMER initiative and the global community of Eutaxy, this is another step forward in maintaining control and order in society. A leader of the JOMER initiative stated that the distribution of shock collars will be used to further improve the efficiency of the slaves production and allow for better control. On that same day there were also budget increases made for the surveillance programs of the government. There will now be an large increase in the number of drones flying in the sky. There is also going to be an increase in cameras to monitor the general population along with more internet surveillance as well.

. George Allen, the head of the surveillance branch said that the increases in budget and surveillance are needed to keep everyone monitored to ensure their duties and jobs are fulfilled to advance the human race. We believe that in order to maintain peace and stability in Eutaxy we need increased surveillance to monitor the population. This is an example of our societys motto that control is liberating. All these changes are making it easier to have control of the people on the large supercontinent that recreates the old Pangaea from hundreds of millions of years ago. Many people support and some oppose these new legislations and budget increases but it seems the majority seem to be in favor. Nearly all citizens agree that the increased government surveillance and monitoring of the population is necessary and important to maintain control, order and safety in the society

This reaction of the general population is much different than in 2071 when government surveillance was being used to target those not beneficial to society. People now are much more accepting and supportive of their governments surveillance. One Eutaxy resident says that she trusts the governments choices because they have worked in the past and have created an ordered society where everyone has a job or role and everyone is intelligent. There is some opposition to this however saying that this is giving the government too much power. These people showing dissension will most likely not be tolerated by the government and will be and have been dealt with. I had the opportunity to talk with slave owner Ronnie Williams III. Ronnie loves the new shock collars that have been

distributed. These collars make it much easier for me to maintain control of my slaves. They now work harder and faster and I have no fear of them escaping. I can now ease up on security knowing that these collars keep them controlled. These collars are believed to help keep the peace in society.

The government believes that the new slavery is an important and good thing because it gets rid of the useless people with IQs less than 110 and puts them to a productive use for society to help advance it. The general population seems to agree that it is necessary for the betterment of society to have slaves with shock collars. Any citizens that oppose this generally are too scared to speak out against it. Those that have spoken out against it say that it is cruel and wrong to have shock collars on slaves. It will be interesting to see in the coming years how shock collars affect the slavery in eutaxy and if the surveillance budget increase will prove valuable to the government and liked by the people.
