To Whom It May Concern, My name is Donna Hoover and I am a first grade teacher at Highland Elementary, Hamilton, Ohio. Abbey Coleman has been student teaching in my classroom since August 2013 through December 2013. I highly recommend Abbey for a teaching position in any K-3 classroom. She has demonstrated many of the qualities that it takes to be an accomplished teacher. The following objectives (and many more) were observed during her experience. Instructional planning: All students will learn Variety of assessments Knowledge of content Connection to other disciplines Routines well established Ethical and professional responsibilities Abbeys relationship with the students was genuine. It was quite evident on the first day that she had prior experience with young children. She shared that she had not only taught at a summer day camp, but also moved up to a leadership position after a short time. I have enjoyed working with and mentoring Abbey throughout this semester.
