May 1, 2014 Fellow Republicans, I write to inform you that effective May 31st, I will resign as Chairman of the

Republican Party of Florida (RPOF). In accordance with the bylaws and rules of the party, a special election to select a new chairman will be held at the upcoming quarterly meeting on May 31st to ensure a smooth transition. In recent weeks, a number of my friends and neighbors in Jacksonville have encouraged me to consider a run for mayor. Jacksonville is not just my home, it is a place of great opportunity; a place where I have made my dreams come true. I feel obligated to give myself the time to fully consider and explore how to serve this community I care for so deeply. I am proud to have served side-by-side with you to make RPOF a powerful force for electing Republicans across Florida. Together, we have expanded our grassroots reach, increased the pool of donors, and raised the resources we need to win. Our successes reflect the tremendous team we have in place, led by Governor Scott, Attorney General Bondi, CFO Atwater, and Commissioner Putnam. We are well positioned moving into the 2014 elections. Our House and Senate teams led by President Gaetz, Speaker Weatherford, President-elect Gardiner, and Speakerdesignate Crisafulli continue to do an outstanding job recruiting, fundraising, organizing, and winning these important seats. RPOF is, without question, the most effective state party in the country: record fundraising, record voter contact, a fully functional and effective field operation, a proactive and news-driving communications team, and a creative, engaging and cuttingedge digital team. These dedicated men and women who serve as staff and party volunteers are some of the best at what they do. I am confident that the party will continue on this same path, and in November, we will celebrate a resounding victory for Rick Scott, our Cabinet, and growing majorities for our House and Senate chambers. Best,

Lenny Curry
