To whom it may concern,

My name is Kurtis Burton and I am the Student Life Coordinator at Wisconsin
Indianhead Technical College (WITC) in New Richmond, WI. I am writing a letter of
recommendation for Nicholas (Nick) Anderson in regards to my experiences with him. I have
been at WITC for a year and a half now and have had the opportunity to get to know Nick and
watch him grow during his time here. I believe he has the perfect combination of education and
out of the classroom experience that will benefit him in succeeding in the future.
Nick wears many hats due to the fact that he is a student, father, and the Public
Relations/Marketing Officer for the Student Senate Association (SSA) on campus, which I am
the Advisor for. It is Nicks reasonability to help promote programs and events on campus by
creating posters and communicating by word of mouth. In order to be successful, he has been
able to use his great communication skills. Most importantly, Nick knows to ask for help when
he needs it as well as knowing his limits when being involved. He is also passionate and
dedicated when it comes to achieving tasks/goals that are thrown his way. He also applies what
he has learned in his program and shares his thoughts and ideas with other student leaders. The
SSA Officers are also responsible for helping plan programs and events on campus to create a
community focused around student involvement which wouldnt happen without Nicks
participation.
I have worked in Student Affairs and Residence life over the years and I can honestly say
that Nick is one of the hardest working individuals I have met. He challenges himself daily by
pushing himself and his comfort zone. Nick will succeed in whatever he decides to do in the
future. There are stepping stones he needs to take in order to advance to the next level and WITC
is one of those stepping stones. If you have any questions or would like to discuss Nick further
