Differentiated based on various student needs including students with IEPs and an ELL student. Taught lessons on math, science, spelling, reading, and writing, created bulletin board for classroom. Attended twice a week for 6 weeks followed by attending full time for 2 weeks.
Junior Year Experience I: Methods of Teaching Math and Science Brunswick Acres Elementary School, South Brunswick, NJ September-December 2013 Taught mathematics and science in a 3 rd grade classroom. Created an interactive learning center on precipitation types. Performed a case study on two students. Attended for 8 weeks.
Sophomore Year Experience II: Early Childhood Placement Ewing Community Preschool, Ewing, NJ February-April 2013 Taught mini-lessons on literacy, math, and science in a preschool. Taught fingerplays. Attended half-day for 5 weeks. Observed curriculum models including Montessori in Princeton, New Jersey, and Tools of the Mind in Neptune, New Jersey.
Sophomore Year Experience I: Child Development Woodrow Wilson Elementary School, Trenton, NJ September-December 2012 Conducted concepts about print assessments and running record in a 1 st grade classroom. Recorded anecdotal notes and produced an in depth case study on one student based on the Omnibus Guidelines in the areas of social, emotional, literacy, mathematical, science, social studies, and physical development. Attended once a week for 10 weeks.
WORK EXPERIENCE WITH CHILDREN Hall Monitor New Jersey Workshop of the Arts, Westfield, New Jersey Summer 2007-2009 Gave directions for parents and students in the hallways. Monitored students for their safety.
