1. In order to advance your player, you must receive:
5 reading counts points to get to 1 st base 10 reading counts points to get to 2 nd base 15 reading counts points to get to 3 rd base 20 reading counts points to get to home 2. Each time you reach home, you score a point for your team! 3. Every time you read a book and take a test, record the book that you read and how many points youve received in your stats and rules book. Periodically, Ms. Hersch will look to check on your progress! 4. If you read at home, record how long you read and have a parent sign their name. This will earn you an extra point! 5. As you score enough points to advance your player to the bases, first show Ms. Hersch that youve received the appropriate amount of points. Then, with permission, you may advance your player on your teams baseball field poster. 6. Every time you reach a base, you get to pick a prize from the dugout! 7. As you score runs, Ms. Hersch will adjust your teams score on the scoreboard. 8. When and if you reach individual 50 points, you will receive a coupon book! This coupon book will be your ticket to awesome advantages during the school day! 9. If you reach 100 individual points, you will receive a gift card to a secret place! 10. If your clip is on yellow at the end of the day, you will receive an OUT and 1 point will be deducted from your individual total points. If your clip is on red at the end of the day, you will STRIKE OUT and 3 points will be deducted from your individual total points. 11. At the end of 9 weeks, to celebrate the end of the reading season, we will have a spirit week. This spirit week will allow you to wear different fun and creative clothing all week. The team that has scored the most runs will get to pick the theme for each day. Also, the winning team will get announced on the morning announcements and receive a ribbon.
