Thomas

a. Chose Needle Fish. Lost it. He would like to sit down and outline his
report again. He has been very disorganized lately. Mom said he is
going to be very late.
b. Hes been chewing on his shirt a lot as well. I am going to email mom
about this and check in about home.
c. Grammar box- preposition. He has been working with the grammar
box material and loves it.
d. Finished friend research report but took it home. He did not show the
final draft to me and said he will bring it back to show me that he did
complete it.
e. Multiplication booklet. Hes been working very hard to memorize all
his multiplication facts (1-10). Making great progress!
f. Racks and tubes division. I gave him the lesson on showing his work
(long division). He did not really understand what we were doing. I
will give him a review tomorrow. He showed a lot of interest.
g. Checkerboard multiplication. He is recording partial products and is
able to read all numbers 1-1,000,000. Finally has the decimal system
down! Huge progress!
h. Asked for a knitting lesson. This is perfect as he needs the fine motor
work to strengthen his pencil grip. This will definitely help with his
handwriting skills.

Hannah
a. Needs to choose a fish to research.
b. Currently working on Egypt report. Has completed five pages as a
rough draft. She would like to complete final draft with the calligraphy
pens.
c. Working on Autobiography. Almost done.
d. Grammar box- adverb- needs review on conjunction. Requested the
review. (I asked her other parts of speech- she has mastered all but
conjunction).
e. Working on long division on paper. Would like more math problems.
Gave her ten (as requested).
f. Working on dynamic addition as a review.
g. Working on dynamic subtraction as a review.
h. Working on double-digit multiplier multiplication with multiplicands
in the ten thousands as a review.
i. Overall, balancing subjects very well this week.
j. She would like to have a lesson on the beading loom.
