Conclusion and Future Enhancement

8.1 Conclusion :
In this report, we aim at improving the overall paging process by
minimizing the need of paging on a slower media by migrating the paging
process in a compressed RAM area !uch a solution is purely software
based and therefore, cheap and easily adaptable to new re"uirements
#he pro$ect titled %Adaptive Compressed &aging in RAM ' is very much
useful as it increases the system performance and reduces the C&( Idle time
#he approach consists of Four ma$or functions)
1. Improvement in compressed caching techni"ue by ma*ing use of adaptive
compression that is rather than using a single algorithm for compression
we use a set of algorithms which are suitable for a particular type of data
and thus achieve high compression ratio improving system performance
2. +ynamically ad$usting the Compressed Memory size by setting a page
scaling factor
3. #o provide a higher compression and de,compression ratio for pages
4. Avoid memory overhead
-ence this pro$ect serves a purely software based solution for &aging
process rather than adding e.tra RAM and therefore, cheap and easily
adaptable to new re"uirements
#he software is to reduce the C&( idle time and improving the system
performance increasing the time speed of paging process
8.2 Future Enhancement :
As in this pro$ect the time lag of accessing the hard dis* is clearly shown
te.tually , the further advancement that can be done is , representing it in
graphical forms which could give more clear and precise view
