What is the difference between studying Bhagavad-gita and studying
material subjects in schools/colleges? A) At the start of the war, Arjuna saw his friends and relatives arrayed on the oosite side! Although they were on the side of irreligion, Arjuna felt wea"ness of heart in fighting and "illing them! #e became so overwhelmed with grief that he ut his famous $andiva bow down, his lis started %uivering, his s"in started drying u, his body started shivering and tears started brimming in his eyes! #e became totally confused about his duty and sat down on the chariot! &his is the condition of all of us too! 'laying various roles, harboring various goals, we are sometimes weeing and sometimes laughing in the drama stage of the material world, not "nowing who we are and what will bring forth ultimate good in our lives! Arjuna then acceted (hri )rishna as his guru and heard the divine instructions from #im and became enlightened! At the end of Bhagavad-gita, we find Arjuna enthusiastic to erform his duty of fighting with full confidence and in divine consciousness! *t is e+ected that at the end of our course on the Bhagavad-gita, we will become crystal clear about the urose of our life and the duty that we have to erform in divine consciousness! &his is the blessing of the Bhagavad-gita! When this "nowledge is understood and racticed it brings about a transformation of the heart! .ust remembering statistics to ac%uire a degree, cramming rofuse information, and having no ractical wisdom or direction in life as in the modern educational scenario is not real education! &he suremely divine words of Bhagavan (hri )rishna, in the form of Bhagavad-gita, have touched and transformed the lives of millions of eole all over the world including hilosohers, scholars, scientists, religionists, etc!
