Resumen de la unidad
A group of students from XII grader will be discussing the topic about types of accommodations in
Panama. They will look for information about the topic in order to identify the different types of
accommodations. They will fill in a SQA. Then they will start working on the Prezi presentation.
Before starting using Prezi I am going to explain them how to use it.

Resumen de evaluaciones

De Inicio Well, I will begin with the diagnostic evaluation
using essential question students will be
answering the question and expressing their
ideas. It will be assessed through a checklist.

De Desarrollo o Proceso During the development of the project they will
work in small teams in order to make their Prezi
presentation. In teams they will look for relevant
information to make the presentation.

De cierre The final product is that students report their
presentation and it will be assessed using a
rubric.

During this class they are going to be discussing some terms related to accommodations in order to get
familiar with this they will look for some information about Accommodation.
I will facilitate them some technological tools to develop the topic we are going to discuss, so before
choosing or developing the topic we are going to check some tutorial about the technological tools.

First students will get familiar with vocabulary about accommodation, then they will identify the
vocabulary about accommodation and finally they will classify the different kind of accommodations.
For getting familiar with the vocabulary about accommodation they will make a Prezi presentation using
the information researched and discussed.
Using a browser they will look for pictures that help them to identify the different types of
accommodations
Teacher will provide and explain the material to the students. Then I will provide them some words for
them to get familiar with the topic.
Students will prepare a Prezi presentation about accommodations in group of 3 students.
The evaluation will be taken from the different activities I will provide them.
Beginning Activity:
They will participate in a brainstorming about accommodations. (3 minutes)
They will fill in a SQA( KWW) (2 minutes)
Development Activity:
They will sign in in Prezi to start working on their presentation classifying the different kind of
accommodations in Panama (30 minutes) during 3 days.
Closing Activity:
They will report their presentations using Prezi ( 5 to 8 minutes each group)

For introducing the class they will watch a video about accommodations. Then, they will
answer some exploratory questions. Then, they will get a vocabulary in the following way
the Word and a picture that represents it in order to avoid translation.
They will prepare a flashcard showing Panamanian accommodations and report an abstract
of one of them.

In this case I should use more visual strategies and some listening activities in order to
they can get familiar with the language. So step by step encourage the student to use the
new language.

Working with clever students I will ask them to develop a different activity as preparing a
screen capture explaining a type of accommodation in Panama and answering any doubts
their classmates could have about their presentations.
