Always be sure that you select the correct language. The list of recognized characters varies according
to the selected document language, and recognition is assisted by a linguistic database. Readiris
extensively uses linguistic information to validate good solutions and mark suspicious ones.
Reading Mixed Languages
When you select "Russian!nglish" or ""reek!nglish", a mixed character set is used. Readiris copes
beautifully with "Western" words #proper names etc.$ as occur in Russian and "reek documents.
To mix other languages on a page, select the language with the most extended character set. To read
documents where !nglish and %rench occur alongside, select %rench as language to ensure that the
accentuated characters recogni&ed correctly.
