LEARNING SEGMENT PRE-PLANNING FORM

Central Focus for the Learning Segment (must be ELA or Math): This is an ELA learning segement. The central
focus is writing an opinion piece about Earth Day.

and written opinion piece with less prompting and more independent work.

Students writing pieces so far are very simple and dont flow that well together. I will continue to collect
pre-assessment data prior to instruction within the learning segment.

Students will show their ability by writing 3 paragraphs in a well organized fashion and then peer edit another
students paper and their own.
