Word Parts Clue: Se- means apart. To sequester someone means to set him apart. Think of "sequestered jurors."

The key phrase here is "move on." If editors have to travel from firm to firm to succeed in their field, then publishing can be classified as an itinerant profession, a profession marked by traveling.
