pictureisbeingdrawnthatdepictstheskillsessentialtosurvivingthetwentyfirstcenturyandatthe
heartofthatpictureiscreativity.Creativitywillbethekeytounlockingmanyoftheupcomingworlds
secretssuchasthecureforcancerandtheblueprintstodevelopingaerodynamicautomobiles.And
whiletechnologyhasmadeiteasiertobecreative,itdefinitelyhasnotlessenedourcapability.
Accordingtomultiplesources,thedefinitionofthewordtechnologyistheabilitytoinvent
usefulthings[that]solveproblems...orjustmakeprocessesbecomelessdifficulttoaccomplish.
(merriamwebster.com).Thisdefinitioninstilsthattechnologyisnotjustbasedaroundtodays
smartphonesandcomputers,butalsobasedondiscoveriesasfarbackaswhencavemenwalked
amongstthedinosaurs.Discoveriessuchastheutilizationoffireandtheinventionofawayof
communication/language.Itisthesetechnologiesthathaveallowedfor,nothindered,amorecomplex
andcreativeman.Forinstance,theintroductionoffireleadcavemenbecomingbetterequippedto
surviveduringtherash,frigidIceAgebymeansofaheatsource.Earlymanhadalsocreativelyutilized
fireinlightoftheculinaryartsinanefforttocookandsterilizeanimalmeat.Insimplestterms,the
discoveryoffireleadtoearlyhumanfindinginnovativewaystousethistechnology.
Moreover,technologyinthetwentyfirstcenturyisusuallydefinedhavingtodowithelectronics
suchastelevisions,cars,andcomputers.Eventhoughthetechnologiesofthemoderneradifferfrom
technologiesinearliertimes,thetechnologiesstillallowforthecreativemindtoflourish.Thecreative
mindisabletomeldmanypicturestogetheronacomputerscreenusingPhotoshoporsomeother
similarprograms.Theimagecreatedisoriginalandunique.Theimagecreatedcouldonlyhavebeen
createdbythehelpoftechnologyandthecomplexhumanconscious.Theimageiscreative.Withoutthe
helpoftechnology,thatpicturewouldnothavebeencreatedtherefore,withouttechnology,there
wouldbenocreativity.Additionally,newtechnologiesarecreatedbypeoplesuseofingenuity,open
mindedness,andinnovativeness.Iguessyoucouldsaytechnologyandcreativenessgohandandhand.
Aworldwithoutcreativitywouldhaveleadtoanarchyandlesscapabilityinthelongrun.
Likethecavemenbeforeus,wewillencountermanyobstaclesthatseemimpossibletoconquer.
Forthecavemen,thoseobstaclesweremainlyhavingtodowiththesurvivinginaworldbereftofmany
amenities.Butlikewisethecavemen,wewillbeabletoovercomethoseobstaclesthroughtheuseofour
inventivebrainsandourmechanizations.Wewillbeabletomasterpoliticalandeconomicstresses.We
willbeabletodefeatglobalwarmingandrestorebalancetotheEarth.Wewillbeabletodoallofthis
withthehelpofcreativityandthenewtechnologyitwillbring.
