This week we were talking and learning about Safari What animals can you see? What new facts have we learnt? How did we discover these facts? Please make sure you ask your children about all the different things they have learnt about. Some of the classes have been using the iPads to find out information and look for images of the different animals, then we have copied them to draw pictures to support our facts. Lots of classes have made clay animals this week, how amazing they look. Expressive Art and Design Understanding the World We are learning to adapt our behaviour to different events, social situations and changes in routine. We will be talking about moving to FS2 We are learning to extend vocabulary by grouping and naming, related to the jungle. Some of us have made booklets with pictures for rhyme and alliteration purposes only related to the jungle This IS NOT a phonics book . FS2 teach the correct phonic sounds in preparation for word blending and reading We are learning to develop preferences for forms of expression and Use movement to express feelings . We will visit FS2 playground again this week.
We are learning to comment and ask questions about where we live and the natural world. Can talk about some of the things we observe such as animals, plants, natural and found ob- jects.
We are learning to begin to use the vocabulary involved in adding and subtracting. and Record. using marks that we can interpret and explain. We will make a repeating pattern with animals We are learning to play alongside other children who are engaged in the same theme. Plays cooperatively as part of a group to develop and act out a narrative. We will be designing animal skin patterens .
