How well do I read and understand different types of written material?
Please note that we are talking about more than books here. You may choose to pick work from any of the following types of written material: poetry, novels, short stories, essays, textbooks, technical manuals, maps, sheet music, graphs, tables, charts, etc.
I believe I am a good reader because I am able to read and understand different types of writing and able to visualize them. I can also evaluate and interpret different written materials and I do not hesitate to ask questions or reread the sections that I fail to understand.
The first example for my understanding of different written material is The Romeo and Juliet project. This project was about using the theme from Romeo and Juliet and comparing it to any movie of your own choice. I choose this as my evidence because I feel in order to compare a written material to anything requires the understanding of the content and minute details. Also my grade on this project, which was A+, shows my understanding toward the written content.
The second example for my understanding of different written material is The catcher in the rye test. I feel the tests are the best evaluation of an individuals understanding of a content. I believe I really understood the concept and the theme of this book based on the fact that I scored an A+ on this test. Also, I made sure that I was taking enough notes about the main characters behavior and interaction with his surroundings, which helped me understand the book better.

How well do I write for a variety of purposes?
Some possible examples of supporting work are essays, poetry, lab reports, creative writing, research papers, journaling, resumes, explanation of a problem-solving process, and song lyrics. Since you are trying to show how you write for a variety of purposes, your supporting work should reflect different types of writing.
I have always felt confident about writing poetries and lab reports. I really feel comfortable with writing about something that I understand and can apply to the real world. Sometimes, I do have hard times finding good vocab, but I usually figure out a way that best fit the writing.
The first evidence for my writing is Huck Finn paper in American Studies class. The paper was about making a connection of the book, Huck Finn with the history. I choose this as my evidence because I believe I did a nice job explaining the book and its connection with the history. I also applied the new vocabulary we learned during the course in this paper. My grade for this paper was an A.
The second evidence for my writing is Nature poetry from Contempt issues w/ fiction class. This project was about writing a poetry, using new vocab we learned in class. My topic was to write about carrot. I believe this project was at an intermediate level and I did quite a good job on it. My grade for this project was an A+.

How well do I listen and respond to communication?
Your examples should demonstrate how well you accept feedback in a variety of contexts, which may include the classroom, the sports field, the stage, at home, and with friends.
I always take feedback from my teachers and coaches, and do my best to apply it to enhance my performance. There are few times I get frustrated from too many criticisms, but I try my best to handle it and keep it to myself.
The first evidence for how well I listen to feedback is the Gatsby Essay from American studies class. The first essay that I turned in had some grammatical mistakes and the pages werent provided for the quotes I used. I received and A- on this paper I received a good grade but I feel I could have gotten better. So, I took my teachers feedback and did my best to fix those mistakes. The new grade I received was an A+.
The second evidence is lifting in Gym class. At the beginning of my sophomore year, I started lifting 45 pounds. With time and taking advices and feedback from my Gym teacher at the end of the year I can lift from 135-155 pounds.

How well do I express myself in different ways?
Here is a great place to share your art, your music, or any other medium through which your true self comes through. Some other possibilities include world language, drama, community service, athletics, writing, and public speaking.
When it comes to expressing myself, I use music and poems to do it. I have a family background in music. Mostly everyone in my family have a passion toward music. And when it comes to poems, I developed that passion myself.
The first evidence for how well I express myself is the Avengers trailer background audio project in Creating music using tech class. In this project, we were given a fake avengers trailer with the audio completely removed. We were supposed to make the music, do voice overs, add sound effects, etc. In this project, I took care of every single sound effects and other parts that applied to the trailer and finished it a week ago the project was due. My teachers really liked it and gave me extra credit for early completion.
The second evidence is my _______poem that got published in the home town newspaper. I wrote this poem for the Vermont Writes Day. I got finished early, so I posted it to their site, and the next week it got published.

How well do I use technology in different settings?
Your supporting work should demonstrate how you have used technology for presentations, written work, and management of data. You should also consider how you have used technology in art, music, problem solving and information gathering.
I feel really comfortable with technology. I believe technology uses less time, which is really important. I have done many work that require using technology like projects for digital photography, creating music using tech and even sophomore advisory site.
So the first piece of work I have used for using technology is Portrait Photography Using Natural Lighting in Digital photography class. For this project I had to take photos by changing many tech specs of the picture like f-speed, ISO setting and exposure. With these settings, taking photos was really challenging for me, since we werent allowed to add any light source for this project, but I did a nice job with it. I received an A on this project.
My second piece of work for using technology is the Mid-term exam for Creating music using technology class. This project was really challenging, considering the fact that it was long and it was an exam grade. I really put in lot of effort in editing the trailer. I choose a game trailer, which made it harder to insert vocals and background music and other sound effects. I believe I did a really nice job with this project. My grade on it was and A+.

How well do I solve problems?
Your examples should provide evidence of your problem-solving process. Some pieces of your process should include clarifying, planning, seeking help, goal setting and reflecting. You may also want to consider how well you manage discouragement and frustration.
I solve problems well by understanding and planning. This applies to all work I have done so far weather it being for sports of academic.
The first evidence is and Algebra 1 Project that I had to do in my freshmen year. It was a project where I had to make a power point and create our own problems. Then we had to solve them and make an answer key to go with it. The types of math problems we had to put on were problems that required elimination method. Since we had to understand how to do the problems and plan out what the final answers would be, the project was hard to plan out.
The second evidence of effectively solving problems is a Frog lab in lab bio class I believe it was the most challenging work I did because I am a vegetarian and I had to cut a body. To solve this problem I used my teachers help and build a self-confidence in order to do this lab.
