Beaumont Hospital Child Life Intern January 2014-April 2014
Rotations in acute care general pediatric and pediatric intensive care unit, Level 1 trauma emergency center, and a same day
childrens surgical center providing care to patients ranging in age from infancy to young adults with a wide variety of diagnoses
Conducted a case study of an individual patient that included researching her personal, family and healthcare variables to create a
plan of care to optimize her psychosocial well-being, followed by a subsequent evaluation of interventions and re-assessment of
patient to determine effectiveness of plan
Wrote and recorded original guided imagery scripts designed specifically to address the unique stressors our pediatric population
experience in the hospital to be used when a CCLS is unable to lead a personalized relaxation session
