After World War two the UN was formed.
The United Nations replaced the failing organization the
League of Nations. It started to fail during the start of WWII.
The UN was created to prevent another conflict.

We the people of the United Nations make it our
responsibility to save the succeeding generations from the
terror and outcome of war, which has brought sorrow to
mankind twice, however give rights back to humans, to both
men, women and all nations big and small, and create
conditions under justice and respect for the obligations
upcoming from treaties and any other international law can be
maintained, and to promote progress in social and better
standards in life in more freedom.

the UN.

side of Manhattan.

A general assembly is when all members of the UN debate.
All 193 members of the UN are in the General Assembly.
Each member of the General Assembly are given one vote.
It depends on whether you are talking about the Security
Council, the Secretariat, the General Assembly, specialized
agencies, however I think they make their decisions through
voting.

The Security Council of the UN maintains international peace
and security in accordance with the principles of the United
Nations.
There are 15 members in the United Nations
The United Nations Security Council has 5 permanent

The (ICJ) is located at the Hague Netherlands.
The court entertains two types of cases: legal disputes
between states (contentious cases), and requests for advisory
opinions on legal questions (advisory proceedings).

World Health Organization
The (WHO) is located in Geneva, Switzerland
The (WHO) coordinates international health activities, it also
helps governments improve health services. It supports the
distribution of safe and effective pharmaceutical tools to its
members.
UNICEF
(UNICEF) stands for United Nations International Childrens
Emergency Fund.
(UNICEF) was created by the UN to provide emergency food
and health care to children in countries that have been
through WWII.
The (UNICEF) provide care for the children that were
devastated by WWII.
Summary
During this assignment we learned about the United Nations
and what they stand for. We also learned about the General
Assembly and why they have this type of meeting. However,
what we learned most about is the (ICJ), the (WHO) and the
(UNICEF) because we really weren't familiar with these
organizations.
