Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is for you to begin to address the graduation
requirements for your major and to address the entrance requirements for your chosen four-year
institution. Please address the questions below. Please type your responses.
1. What courses are you currently taking this semester?
I am currently taking EDUC 290, PHYE 155, and ARTS 102.

2. What courses do you need to graduate with your AA degree? (Please see Lena Paxton to get a copy
of your Degree Audit, if you have problems. Lena is located in the Matrix in the Taylor Administration
Building on the CSI campus; you can also email her at lpaxton@csi.edu.) Otherwise, go to MyCSI under
your grades option.
The courses I am currently taking are the final requirements I need for the AA degree.

Not yet.

4. Have you completed CSIs Computer Literacy Assessment? (http://computerliteracy.csi.edu/)
Yes.

5. What are the entrance requirements for your chosen four-year institution? What are the
application deadlines? If you plan to apply for scholarships, what are the scholarship
application deadlines? Have you applied for financial aid?
Entrance requirements include cumulative GPA of no lower than 2.75, grades of C or higher in
EDUC 2215 and EDUC 2201, background check, completion of Praxis 1 in reading, math, and

writing. A video interview and completion of admission interview is required. Application
deadline is June 1

. I do not plan to apply for scholarships or financial aid.

6. Does your chosen four-year institution require Praxis 1 (or other tests)? What scores are
needed? What are the dates for Praxis 1 (or other tests)? Do these tests have to be completed
before the application deadline? If so, how long does it take to process test scores?
ISU does require the Praxis 1 with passing scores of 172 in reading, 174 in writing, and 169 in
math. The dates are not clear to me yet. I believe I can take them in July or August in Meridian.
Twin Falls has a test location but I do not have dates for the summer. My understanding at this
time is the tests need to be completed before the application deadline which is going to be a
problem for me as I work full time and am still in school and have a family. I have reached out
to ISU for clarification as I would like to apply for fall courses to keep working on my education
degree but am not able to take the Praxis until July. I am hoping to hear an answer this coming
week. This could be problematic for me. I may check out another institution.
