Participation & Cooperation Grade


Grade
( 4 ) Exceeds Expectations (3-6).
( M+ ) Strongly In Place (1-2).
Student always wears appropriate attire.
Student fully participates in all physical education classes.
Student consistently demonstrates a high level of enthusiasm, self-control, sportsmanship,
and follows all safety rules while participating in all activities.
Student consistently works cooperatively with classmates.

( 3 ) Meets Expectations (3-6).
( M ) Meets Expectations (1-2).
Student frequently wears the appropriate Physical Education attire.
Student willingly participates in class with minimal encouragement.
Student often demonstrates enthusiasm, self-control, sportsmanship, and follows all
safety rules while participating in activities.
Student regularly works cooperatively with teammates.

( 2 ) Approaching Expectations (3-6).
( SD ) Still e!eloping (1-2).
Student occasionally wears appropriate physical Education attire.
Student participates with frequent encouragement.
Student occasionally demonstrates enthusiasm, self-control, sportsmanship and shows a
limited willingness to follow safety rules.
Student displays limited initiative to function as a team player.

Student rarely wears appropriate Physical Education attire.
Student displays a reluctance to participate in physical education activities.
Student has little or no self-control, poor sportsmanship, and shows an unwillingness to

Student carries out the skill or activity without significant error.
Student demonstrates a fundamental knowledge of rules, tactics and strategies.
Student demonstrates a moderate level of physical fitness and exhiits a willingness to
continue to improve.
