A. EDUC 526 Capstone Website 2) Unit Plan A. Week 1
a. Lesson one: Day 1 and 2 The teacher will go over Five New Deal programs that each group will be working on. This will help get students ready and familiar with the New Deal program they will be working on. Teacher will assign two pages of reading from their history books. The reading will be a brief introduction into each program. Teacher will use Keynotes for the introduction of the five different programs.
b. Lesson two: Day 3 and 4 Teach will also groups students into group of four or five. Each group will have students with different intelligences. This will help them work well together and help each other with different assignments. Teacher will prepare questions for them to answer. They will find the question sheet on the Google doc. Sheet. Students will answer the questions. They will use their books and Google to answer the questions. Students will discuss their answers with their group. They will than share some of their findings with the class. c. Lesson three: Day 5 They will than share some of their findings with the class.
B. Week 2
a. Lesson one: Day 1 and 2 Teacher will gather six New Deal program posters to present to the class using Animoto. Teacher will than show each picture used in the Animoto. As a class they will analyze each picture. Teacher will ask students what they see in each picture? What is says? Who is the intended audience? b. Lesson two: Day 3 and 4 Teacher will than have students use their iPads and the app paper to brainstorm in their groups. Teacher will also guide and teach students who to use Library of Congress website.
c. Lesson three Day 5 Students will use the paper app on their iPads to brainstorm. They will sketch a few ideas for their New Deal posters. By the end of the class all groups will share some of their ideas.
C. Week 3
a. Lesson one: Day 1 and 2
Teacher will prepare and teach students how to use the numbers app. Students will explore and play with the app for the first fifteen minutes of class. Teacher will teach students how to collect data from the Internet. Teacher will get into their groups and have them Google information on the Great recession. Teacher will go over the project and guide students on their search. b.Lesson two: Day 3 and 4 Students will gather information on the Great Recession. Students will compare the similarities and differences of the Great Depression and the Great Recession.
c. Lesson three: Day 5 They will create a chart using numbers with the similarities and differences. 3) Resume I will add my resume
