Topic Proposal

I am interested the different usages of artist journals for all grade levels in an art
classroom. I wish to explore the benefits of using them to practice skills, generate
ideas, play, take notes, reflect, etc. An artist journal is a vessel for students to
expressive their thoughts without the fear of judgment that comes from other
people viewing it. I also would like to utilize the journals to help students discover
their personal aesthetic. For my project, I want to create my own artist journal that
will hold the research that I find and samples of what this might look like in my
classroom.
