fund CG govt. asked all the corporate to deposit amound as mandated by CSR bill 2012. CSR bill mandate all profit making entity reporting 5 cr or more profit in last three years to spend atleast 2% of their average profit towards CSR activities. Opponent claims that this runs contrary to the spirit to CSR. The udea of bill was to allow coprorate to spend on CSR in the vicinity of their operation. While at the same time, it cant be left to corporate otherwise it will be escape route. Coporate may spend on promotional activities being masked as CSR 2.
