Johns Treatment
Blurb: a group of psychopaths are teamed up to take down the worlds worst sinners by the
mysterious killer only known as Seven who needs them to wipe the scum of the world..
Character biographies:
Jester A psychopath recently released from a high security mental institute, he was well known
for always dressing as a jester before he hunted someone down to murder them in their own home,
He was born into a well off family, plenty of money and resources from a young age he developed an
obsession with jesters from the middle ages and thus gained the nickname from his peers Jester
which he adopted as his real name and would not answer to anyone calling him by his birth name,
on his 13
th
birthday his parents had bought him a priceless ancient jester mask, as soon as he put on
the mask he felt different, like he had suddenly gained his purpose, he became fascinated with the
concept of death, how much pain could a human take before their body gave up and died? how
different people would break much easier than others, as he grew up he taught himself how to go
around undetected and how to use a small knife which he referred to as a shiv, his strange
behaviour worried his parents so they had him examined by a psychologist, when the results came
he was deemed sane. One thing people always forgot about Jester is how unpredictable he was, he
had learned how to hide his obsession and seem completely normal when he wanted to be.
When he reached the age of 17 he felt ready, ready to draw the blood of another for the first time,
he had a target that he had learned the route they took every day, how they acted, their fears and
most importantly when they were alone. He had snuck into the house on the night he knew his
parents where away for the weekend, broke into the house silently and set up his surprise, he crept
into the boys room, his mask on and shiv ready, he made sure the boy was knocked out and tied him
up in his living room, he put him through hours of torture when he awoke, laughing in hysterics
when he screamed in pain and begged for mercy, when he was done he took the boys tongue to
remember the first kill he had ever had, then torched the house so as to dispose of any evidence of
him being there.
Since then he has committed countless murders and has still not been identified as the man behind
the mask, only as the Jester, the image of horror, he was well known for having the same technique
to kill his victims, but he had not pattern no trail to follow, it was impossible to know where he
would go next, until he made a mistake, he had made a single mistake on one contact and did not
realise their neighbours had cancelled a trip they were going on, they heard him break in, and called
the police and shouted to the man inside the house, Jester was declared insane and sentenced to
spend his life in prison, until he was Released and invited to the home of insanity.
Mitch Corio (Silence) One of the most disturbing cases of a killer in history, Mitch came from a
home of abuse where he was taught it was kill or be killed, so he saw the strength of others and
decided there must be a way to steal it, being a mute he found it hard to argue so suffered in silence
where he gained his nickname. he has self-inflicted scars all the way up his forearm, looking more
like a form of tattoo than scars, he had an odd symbol which was discovered to be writing in an
language not used any more, it read Consume and adapt this was the phrase that Mitch had lived
by since his childhood, he had always been fascinated by the features by other creatures, he would
love to dissect animals to examine how they worked, he considered this research vital in reaching his
full potential, he decided that he would need to examine another human, so he asked his only friend
in the world to help him with a Science experiment he took him deep into a forest near his home
where he knew there was an old crumbling building as this was where he had been committing his
experiments on other animals, as soon as they entered the building he knocked his friend out with a
metal bar and began the experiment, he had cut out all of the non-vital organs first and then began
on removing the vital parts, he had ripped out his heart, and both his lungs, when he looked up at
his friend he realised something, is he wanted to be as good as him at certain things, he would need
to consume him so he ate his heart and removed his friends face, cleaning it and attaching straps so
he could wear it as a mask, since then he has over 400 masks, and has yet to be caught he has
since been invited to the house.
Seven Seven is a special case, he considers himself an executioner of those who sin, he hunts down
those who commit the seven deadly sins and will murder them in a way that he sees fit, he is
considered an myth by some, the devil in human form by other yet there are still groups that
worship him like a god, cleaning the filth of the world, despite the evidence of his existence he has
been declared not real by police forces around the world, there are some that believe this but most
believe he is real and will never stop until he dies. Sevens history is unknown as he is unknown to be
anyone but seven, he has been recorded speaking to people, he is very well spoken and highly
intelligent so as to never be caught.
Although being considered an sociopathic psychopath he is considered a good person in some
societys as he has been known to murder corrupt politicians and war mongering leaders of
militarys, among others although he takes pity on those less well of if they commit one of the sins
he will hunt them down too, he is constantly hunted down by assassins and mercenarys from
around the world as to be expected.
The Story will be filmed watching the three progresses through life together instead of working
alone there will be flashbacks to characters pasts so as the audience understand there reasons to do
what they do.

A shot of a sign labelled Mental Institute slowly zooming out onto a building on a dark day and
then we see a small room with a table and two chairs on one side of the table and one on the other
side, obviously an interrogation room, we see a man with long hair looking down at the table not
saying anything as two police men attempt to get an answer from him. He looks up meeting their
stare a grin spreading across his face as he answers quickly, we do not hear his reply but we can tell
by the horror on the two police men in the rooms faces that it was not the answer they expected,
we see the two officers leave the room and a man in a suit enters although the position of our view
makes it so that his face is unknown he slides across a file to the long haired man and says
something again we do not hear, but we see the long haired man begin to laugh manically and we
cut to the next location. This is where we see a man standing next to the suited man from the last
location in the middle of the day in the forest, we hear them discuss a deal and then shake hands,
still not seeing either of the twos faces.
We then see a building and then see the three men standing inside a room where the suited man
begins explaining the reason for them all being there, we understand that he has brought them
there to create a team of expert killers to wipe the scum from the earth we then see all three of
them put on their own individual mask and walk into the main room as the man in the suit known
only as Seven explains his plan and what they need to do, we then see a dilapidated building
obviously been there for a while and abandoned, we see what we can tell is the feet of Jester, as we
see him stare at the building we then see from his perspective from a young age past him break into
a house and murder another his age, after seeing this we watch Jester walk into the building
searching for any life, the shadow of another taller man spreads across the room as Jester spins
around we see him being confronted by a tall man in a coat, he asks why the Jester is there after
Jester tricks him to look at something he has found we see Jester raise his knife and then the shadow
of the murder.
Next we see from his perspective Silence was down a corridor of what seems to be a school looking
around until he sees the classroom he was looking for. We then see a classroom full of people being
taught by a teacher as the teacher leaves we see what we assume is silence being bullied by a
classroom of children and then we skip forward to him being beaten up outside of the school. We
then see his perspective from the present again, he then enters the classroom his fists tightly
clenched as the teacher sitting behind the desk looks up asking questions, Silence grabs him by the
throat and we see him violently pull his neck to the left breaking his neck.
We then see Seven walk into a room with three other people, they all begin playing a game of
blackjack, we watch as the people look intensely at each over, after Seven appears to win the game
another man around the table appears to reach for a weapon we then see Seven proceed to draw to
knives and slit the throats of the people to the left and right of him, he then presses the knife against
the throat of the last person saying something and then killing him too.

INT. MORNING CHRISTIANS BEDROOM
Sound of an alarm going off, faint sound of birds tweeting.

CHRISTIAN
Its too early to get up
(Pause for 5 seconds and closes eyes then opens looking annoyed)

(He gets up out of bed turns alarm off and walks out of shot into bathroom)
(He is washing his face, brushing his teeth getting ready for school)
(Christian opening front door)
CHRISTIAN
Im going to school. Bye
(Christian closes the door)

EXT. LATE MORNING FRONT OF SCHOOL
(Evin opening his book of sketches and drawing)

CHRISTIAN
Alright Evin?
(Evin quickly closes the book)

EVIN
Yeah Im good, oi Chris hav yah heard, that sugar blokes in town.

CHRISTIAN
(Whispering, afraid, alerted)
Keep your fucking voice down you twat.

EVIN
Over-react much?

EVIN
Anyway whats gotten you in such a mood? Wait dont tell me. Its your
parents again isnt it?
Ive always said you can come and stay at my place for a few days if you
need to, even my mum said you could.

(Christian turns forward of the bench no longer looking at Evin)

CHRISTIAN
Listen im thinking about-

A person walks into shot with his head looking as if its in the middle of
EVIN and CHRISTIAN)

LUKE
Thinking about what?

(LUKE walks down the slope as the other two characters get up off the bench
and start walking off the school grounds)
(CHRISTIAN, EVIN and LUKE as they walk off the school campus by a phone
box)

EXT. LATE MORNING TOWN
(the 3 friends as the walk through the town)
LUKE
So what were you gunna say before I saw you guys?
CHRISTIAN
Na it-it doesnt matter forget I ever said anything.

LUKE
No you know how I get when I dont know something. I cant stop the
paranoia kicking in.

CHRISTIAN
Yeah how is the therapy going?

LUKE
You know how its going stop avoiding the question
(Speaking under his breath)
Fucking politician

CHRISTIAN
IT.DOESNT.MATTER

EVIN
Luke jus leave it mate. Probably not even that important ey Chris?

CHRISTIAN
No you know what? Fuck it. Im thinking of seeing the candy man
(EVIN and LUKE both turn to CHRISTIAN in shock)
EVIN+LUKE
WHAT!?

CHRISTIAN
Thats why I didnt want to say I was thinking about trying someIve just
had enough of it all you know whats going on in my life and who the fuck
cares? Im not going to get caught. Im not an idiot like you Luke.

LUKE
And whats that supposed to mean Chris?

CHRISTIAN
My point exactly! Listen I dont except you to come with me or whatever it
is you would do all im asking is that you dont say a thing

EVIN
Your secrets safe with me buddeh

LUKE
IIWhat if you do get caught
(Starts to faster)
Then youll go to prison.
Then theyll ask questions.

Then theyll send us to prison.
What if the candy mans guys come after us for money?
What if they do stuff to us in prison?
Then they will hurt us.
What if I get life in prison because I know you!
(LUKE breathing heavily. Reaches into pocket for inhaler)

CHRISTIAN
Clam down. Its not gunna come to that

LUKE
You dont know that, youre not the police. They have people who know
things

(The 3 boys enter a coffee shop)

EVIN
Right im getting sumint to drink get a table.

(30 minutes pass as the 3 friends waste time in the coffee shop)
(CHRISTIAN sees a man in a hoodie pace back and forth outside the coffee
shop)
CHRISTIAN
I think thats the guy.
(quietly)

Oh fuck I guess im doing this
(inhales, pauses for few seconds then exhale)
Right you guys stay here Ill be back soon

EVIN
No way Im going with you. You know how those people are, their not stupid
one person is easy prey.

CHRISTIAN
Yeah fine. Luke stay here, Evin keep your mouth shut.
(CHRISTIAN and EVIN leave to meet the hooded man. They exit the shop. The
hooded man sees them and walks into the nearby alley)

DEALER
So then my dear friends what can a humble man such as myself do for you two
young gentlemen today?

CHRISTIAN
(Nervously)
Can I, can I ummmwhat is the thingumm i-i-I maybe some eerrr

DEARLER
(passively-aggressively)
Spit it out boy!
(Clears throat)

Now I have a range of sugars to sell however seeing as youre a new
customer I assume may I ask your name?

CHRISTIAN
Chr-Chris. Err sorry I mean Christian yeah.

(DEALER gets out phone looks to be searching or entering his name on a
database CHRISTIAN)

DEALER
Now stand still for me a moment
(DEALER takes photo of CHRISTIAN)

CHRISTIAN
um what what was that for?

DEALER
Oh just a checking to see if you are a customer and to enter you into our
client base

CHRISTIAN
WHAT! What if the police find out?!

DEALER
Clam down they wont and NEVER will.
That aside, seeing as you are a new customer we offer all new customers a
complimentary sample

(DEALER takes out small bag from a his own bag and takes CHRISTIANS hand
and puts it in CHRISIANS hand and brings him close)
DEALER
(Whispering in CHRISTIANS ear)
If you ever tell anyone about this we will know. We will find you. You can
run but you will never be able to hide from us. Now walk away and dont
look back. We will contact our customers next time a dealer is in your
local area now go about your day
(DEALER lets go of CHRISTIAN smiles and waves)
And remember happy shopping.

(CHRISTIAN and EVIN walk away)



What is narrative?
A narrative is the way the story is structured

What is a linear narrative?
Linear narrative is when the story/plot goes down a single linear path for example
you see an adult grow older in the movie as it goes on. It never jumps between time
periods.
What is a non-linear narrative?
Non-linear narrative is when the plot doesnt go in chronological order so for example
you time travel shows and movies work well for this as they can flash backs etc.
Memento pulp fiction and reservoir dogs are good examples

What narrative structure does your final video have?
The narrative of our short drama is linear it follows a small group of as they make
their way deepern into a forest to look for their missing friend.

Lighting

What is low-key lighting?
Low-key lighting is a technique used to establish the scenes that may
want to create a spooky atmoshere
What genres may use this?
Horror often uses this to create suspense.
What is high-key lighting?
High-key lighting is when the person and background is highly
illuminated. This usually destroys any tension
What genres may use this?
Its often used in sitcoms and comedies. This lets us clearly see whats
going on.
What is ambient lighting?
Ambient lighting is lighting that comes from all directions in a room that
cant be seen. Well will want to use this in our movie
